The Whistler
inspection video camera is essentially a borescope which is wireless.
It
has a detachable remote display and a variable intensity lighted (four LEDs)
CCD camera on a 9mm wand (smaller diameter than some others). The standard goose-neck
wand is 3 Ft long and it comes with a 3 Ft goose-neck extension making it 6 Ft
total. Some users have found it a bit too rigid though. The monitor is
detachable and wireless with a magnetic swivel mount. It is a must have tool
for plumbers, since it can be thrust down a drain to see what is causing a
blockage.
This saves on
significant wear and tear as you don’t have to tear up your courtyard or
whatever to look for the precise location of a blockage. Just keep in mind that using
a plumbing camera to locate the problem doesn’t always mean that the issue can
be solved without excavation. However, when the section that needs attention
has been pinpointed, your plumber will need to dig up only that specific
section. Obviously, if you are using a 600
tvl snake camera, then the purpose is surveillance. These
mini spy cameras are very delicate pieces of equipment, so you need to use them
properly.
